UK Tea Academy (STA UK) shall not at any time be liable to compensate for: loss of earnings, refunds towards any expenses incurred by the attendee: transport (including flights, hotels etc.); food or any other expenses.
ALL cancellations requests shall be emailed to info@ukteaacademy.com.
Refund Policy:
* 2 weeks prior to the course: full refund of the course fee and VAT only (excludes booking fee being 5% of the course fee).
* 1 week prior to the course: 50% refund of the course fee and 50% of the VAT only (excludes booking fee being 5% of the course fee).
* Less than a week (7 days prior to the course): no refund.
* No show: no refund.
Refund Policy applies to Courses only. We are unable to issue refunds for Academy Extra events (except in special circumstances).
UK Tea Academy (STA UK) reserve the right to cancel courses at any time: a full refund of course fee and booking fee or option to take the course on a different date shall be offered in this case.
TERMS & CONDITIONS WHEN BOOKING COURSES RUN BY UKTA AUTHORISED TRAINERS / TRAINING CENTRES: when booking any courses with an independent authorised trainers and/or training centres, you shall ask to be sent the relevant terms & conditions including refund policy from the external trainer and/or centre directly. UK Tea Academy Ltd. (STA UK) shall not, at any time and however it comes about, be liable and/or offer any:
a. refunds/compensation towards cancellations and/or courses’ dates changes
b. alternative dates and/or space
c.compensation for any financial and/or personal damages.
Authorised trainers and/or Training Centres are legally separate entities from Speciality Tea Academy UK Ltd., therefore any dispute shall be taken directly with the trainer/centre that the course was held with.
Delivery of Teas Outside the UK
Please Note: We are unable to mail tea to Spain or Portugal due to import restrictions. If you live in Spain or Portugal then you can request delivery at your own risk with the knowledge that no parcel can be replaced if it does not arrive for whatever reason. Our suggestion is that we deliver your teas to a UK address, such as a friend who may be visiting you soon and could hand-carry the package.
If you are concerned about your tea delivery or you live in Spain or Portugal then please do not book this English course without contacting us first.
You may prefer to study with one of our international tutors. Courses are available in French, Italian, Spanish, German, Japanese or Korean and teas are then delivered to you locally.
All international postage is at the trainee’s own risk. We will use tracked mail but if you prefer to use courier, then please contact us for a quotation before booking, as additional fees may apply.
The UK Tea Academy is not responsible for the delivery of your teas: all teas are sent at the recipient’s risk and we are unable to re-send or reimburse packages that fail to reach you.
We will send teas in suitable packaging from the UK, but we cannot advise on local taxes or import restrictions that may apply in your country. Please be sure to check this before you register for your training and be aware that additional local taxes may be charged to you for safe receipt of your parcel.

REFUND POLICY:

Refund Policy applies to Live Webinars only. For online course (self-study) refunds or cancellations, please refer to the policy at

- A refund may be requested no less than 48 hours before the start of the webinar. A booking fee of 10% may be withheld from the refund at the course director’s discretion.
- Agreed refunds may not always be completed before the start of the webinar, but will be refunded to the original payment method within 3 working days.
- Once a refund has been agreed in writing, you will not be able to attend the webinar against which the refund is being made and your place will be released to another student.
- No show: no refund.
- Less than 48 hours’ notice: no refund
- The Sensory & Practical Online course is non-refundable after we have despatched the course equipment or teas to you.
Interrupted webinars / equipment failure
If you attend a webinar and encounter a problem accessing the event, then we will do our best to i) help you re-connect and complete the webinar, ii) attend the missed section of the webinar on another date without additional payment. Problems that may qualify you for a replacement webinar include a poor internet connection or equipment malfunction. However, you must provide screenshots wherever possible or other documentary evidence for your claim.
All claims under this clause must be made within one hour of discovering the problem, by email to the tutor or info@ukteaacademy.com
If you have any problems connecting to the webinar, please email your telephone number to info@ukteaacademy.com and the tutor immediately, so that we can try to connect you.
Termination from the webinar
We reserve the right to permanently disconnect any participant from a webinar, who is suspected of recording the webinar or who has been aggressive or offensive toward the tutor or any other participant.
In such cases, a refund will not be given for the webinar attended or part-attended, but future bookings will be cancelled immediately and refunded in full.
Cancelled Webinars
UK Tea Academy Online reserve the right to cancel webinars at any time, for example in the case of tutor illness or in the event that we have not met our minimum requirement for the number of attendees. Where UKTAO cancel the event, a full refund of the fee paid, including any booking fee or the option to take the webinar on a different date shall be offered wherever possible.
PRIVACY
The UK Tea Academy Online is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using our booking portal or the webinar platform, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with our privacy statement: https://uktao.thinkific.com/pages/privacy
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All handouts provided by the UK Tea Academy, The UK Tea Academy Online or the tutor (‘copyright holders’) contain content that belongs to the academy and these cannot be copied or distributed without written authorization from the UK Tea Academy or the UK Tea Academy Online.
Any unauthorized use of any materials created and presented by any of the copyright holders listed above, may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.
Under no circumstances can any student or other attendee of a webinar, make any recording or capture any moving or still images of the webinar, the slides, the tutor or other participants. All content belongs to the tutor and/or UKTAO who hold the final decision as to what content may be made available for download to support the student’s learning.
For avoidance of doubt, you may be asked for your explicit acceptance of additional terms at the start of the webinar or course, at the discretion of the tutor. Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
